ScribeFire Next 1.7.1 Released

Version 1.7.1 of ScribeFire for Chrome, Opera, and Safari, and ScribeFire Next for Firefox, is now available. This is the first update to ScribeFire that benefits from the new testing framework; this version includes the following changes:

New Features

  • Word and character count in the editor status bar

Bug Fixes

  • Updated to use Posterous’s new API
  • Improved support for all blogging platforms
  • Fixed editor flickering problem
  • Fixed blog detection on LiveJournal blogs that have Adult Content notices

    Very nice work. I’ve been giving a shot to the Chrome version and I’m quite impressed with the WP support.

    Just tried installing Scribefire Next 1.7.1 (using the link on this page) in Firefox 5.0 under Ubuntu 11.04 and it doesn’t look like i’s working properly – it looks nothing like the screenshots on the mozilla addons page!

    Hello! Scribefire is a good tool, really easy. But if you can not use regular publishing, setting tried without success many times, I ask why? I use scribefire for chrome

    This tool could be a great time saver, i own a number of small sites and needed something like this to save time. I will give it a spin and let you guys know how i get on.
