  • Added “Live Preview” feature: see how your post will look on your blog before you publish it.
  • Added support for scheduling posts to Blogger
  • New “Publish” dialog to remove some confusion about publishing as edit/draft/page/etc.
  • Source editor now uses fixed-width font.
  • Added a “Preview” button next to the “Publish” button.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed bug related to categories with commas in their names
  • Fixed a bug related to categories with ampersands in their names
  • Fixed bug where Quickblogging toolbar cannot be recovered
  • Fixed bug in File Upload that was restricting upload to images only.
  • Pressing “Tab” while in the source editor now inserts a tab.

Other

  • Fixed an incorrect translation of “Post as edit” in the German locale
  • Wrote new installations scripts for SeaMonkey to fix a bug related to upgrading.

Once again, you can either install this update at Mozilla Add-ons, or you can wait for Firefox to automatically notify you of the update.

    Sorry!
    I can’t see the new translation in zh-tw …
Like “Preview” and some in Publish dialog…
    Thanks…

Please make the fixed width font in the source editor optional. Quotation marks show up as thin black line instead as quotation marks in the editor (nevertheles, they are being postest to the blog as the intended quotation marks – but they’re distracting me from efficient work).

I seem to have a problem deleting words on a Saved Note.

You still need to go to Source Editing to delete them, you can’t do them in Rich Editing

The fixed width font you chose is horrible. Please make it a setting. At least let me choose what font the editor uses. There is already a font selector for the post. This font looks horrible for an otherwise nice looking editor.

The functionality has been awesome for a long time and keeps getting better. Keep up the excellent work.

WP 2.6 and ScribeFire 2.3 are not playing good with each other, I am getting a “Login Error” every time I try to add my new blog …

I also can’t upload photos through API.

The error message “could not acquire authorization token from Google” still apears. Why?

I was able to get scibefire to upload images to my blogspot / blogger blog by using 0123456789ABCDEF as the API key.

It would be great if the flicker api would allow you log into your own flickr account or search for a specific account rather than having to comb through all photos in flickr to find the photo you want. Is there any way to add this feature otherwise it’s a great application.

    Hiya’s,

Can’t get ScribeFire to work with Wordpress 2.6.1

Getting a login error when adding the blog..
Tried changing password, etc, no good..

Fantastico on Bluehost now automatically installs 2.6.1 instead of previous version too and Im too lazy to install the old version.. hoping that you put out an update or some instructions on how to fix.. maybe it’s a different api for Wordpress 2.6.1?

    Kind Regards,

    Penny

PS.. *all hail scribefire*.. I still love u.. cos I know you’ll fix this .. *hehe*

Oh cool, I wondered where my blog post went.. thank you google..

Anyways.. in answer to my own question :)

Just in case anyone else finds updating to Wordpress 2.6.1 and crying because Scribefire stops working hehe..

    Login to your Wordpress Blog..

    Go to Settings -> Writing
Tick the box that says “XML-RPC” (Enable the WordPress, Movable Type, MetaWeblog and Blogger XML-RPC publishing protocols).

Then go back to Scribefire and re-add your blog.

    *Crisis Over*

I am having the same bad password/login combination error. I tried Penny’s fix above, but it didn’t work. In my Wordpress install of 2.6.1, I already had XML/RPC checked but decided to re-add my blog to scribefire anwyay. I deleted it from SF, then re-added and when I put in my user name and password, I get back an error that says “Please Check you user name and password for errors.” I know they are right since I went to WP and changed the password and then put it into SF…. same result.

    Any ideas?

    thanks,
    c

    Hello,

I’m getting the same login problem as mentioned above – very frustrating. I’ve changed the password in WP, and am able to login via the site; but obviously I’d like to use ScribeFire.

    Help,

    Gareth.
