I just wanted to know that we’ve heard your requests to bring back the “close” button that previously resided in the top-right corner of ScribeFire. It will be put back into place in the next release, which should come sometime in the next week. (Until then, you can close ScribeFire by clicking on the orange status-bar icon while ScribeFire is open.)

NO WAY!!! it’s much cleaner looking the way it is. Also the close button did not always function properly. Leave it as it is people will get used to it. a better feature would be to allow the editor to separate from the browser like firebug does now that would kick ass.

G: We will not be using the exact same button graphic; the new button will fit in better with the current theme.

I don’t use the button in the status bar and so the close button is very important to have.
Thanks for bringing it back…

PLEASE bring back the “visit this blog” link that previously resided in the bottom-right corner of ScribeFire. the new “visit this blog” link is combined in the “Blogs column” and will open a new windows instead of a tab!

I came here because I couldn’t figure out how to close ScribeFire. I always use split screen, so I panicked for a sec. But now that I know I can just click the icon again to close it, I kinda like that better. I agree the old close button worked badly. I wish I had known all along I could close it from the toolbar. Either way, I love ScribeFire, thank you so much!

I don’t understand.
What orange bar are you talking about?
I don’t appear to have any. How do I close this damn thing?
I cannot endure this for an entire week!
I need to close it, and there is no orange status bar!

I like it this way-the old button conflicted with ColorZilla-also on the status bar.

I’m currently using the Opera web browser,

i like this stuff, but firefox is always slow on my PC,
Opera is faster.
P.S: and yes, please bring back the “close” button!

yeah, I absolutely need the close button. I’ve become quite dependent on it. I had gone away from my blog for a week and apparently didn’t notice that scribefire had been updated.

Is there any shortcut keys ? Its good to include shortcuts, for instance pressing F4 in Excel “redo” the last action. In fact, I have just formattted a page justifying the paragraph, and I need to move my mouse down to point the paragraph, and then move my mouse up to hit justify button. And I did that for all subsequent paras, it will be nice to include a shortcut key, when I can move my mouse with one hand, and pressing the shortkey on the other.

Тема вроде старая уже, но я только сегодня ее прочитал. Актуально, что тут скажешь.
