Hi there… would really love to be able to use this with Windows Live Spaces but it does not recognize my login or password. Is there a work around or something. Thanks.

Hi,
the add-on works fine, with my wordpress blog. But i found serendipity, which i find better, but i can’t add it to scribefire, would be nice seeing it working with it.
Greetings

where can I get the themes ?

The “blank” key generates :bnps or something like that. Do all of you have the same problem???
If it is a common problem, hope the developer can fix it.

Hello
I’m having some troubles since last update. I cannot post anything and i’m getting this error message:”La API en la URL introducida parece no existir. Por favor asegúrese de tener la URL correcta e intente denuevo. XML Response:XML-RPC server accepts POST requests only”
Hope you can tell me what i need to change to fix this.
Thanks in advance.

Scribefire words excellently with Serendipity (and yes I agree it is better!). I can’t remember where I found the instructions but ‘Google’ a bit and it’ll show up!

Now THIS is a great tool for bloggers. It saves time and increases efficiency. As a Blogger, getting news and information out in a timely manner is of the utmost importance.

I use blog-city and I cannot find any information on an api url for blog-city or how (or if) I can use Scribefire with my site. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

A tip for anyone wanting to use ScribeFire with a Blogger account who keeps getting an error when they try to create the account:
When you’re going through the Wizard to create the account -
1. Type in or paste the URL of your blogger account as it says and hit next.
2. The wizard will choose ‘Blogger’ from a drop down list where it talks about the API. If you go to the next step you’ll get an error sometimes (depending on your blog). What you have to do is – even though ‘Blogger’ is already selected in the drop-down list, go and manually select ‘Blogger’ AGAIN.
3. This will slightly change the URL and you’ll have to re-enter part of the URL with your address. Continue on and it should work.
Good Luck!

Does Scribefire Suck?
http://one-salient-oversight.blogspot.com/2007/07/does-scribefire-suck.html
Scribefire has been what I have been using to post blogs.
So there I am, going into the “history” bar of scribefire. I’m annoyed that every time I log on to scribefire, that massive review I made of Joint Security Area would appear in the text window. I was getting sick of it being there. I kept “clearing content” and then when I would start it up again, the same darn text would be there.
So I went into history and deleted it. Then I began to delete others.
Then I went to this blog site and discovered that scribefire had deleted all those postings from my blog – including the 4000 word Joint Security Area film review that I had spent nearly two days writing.
It’s not even in the drafts folder at blogspot.
I am in shock. It’s like writing an essay for university and then having it get erased suddenly.

Is there a support forum for Scribefire? I can’t seem to find it.
July 5th, 2007 at 11:50 pm
Scribefire works fine for me. Bu there are some things I have to switch to MS Live Writer for.
So here’s my next release wish list:
* Ability to post-date posts on Wordpress blogs (get that right on Blogger and I’ll forever love you).
* Ability to edit picture settings (margins etc) in WYSIWIG view
Currently the Firefox addons page is 404…?
Overall it makes posting to different blogs an absolute pleasure.

Is there a forum support for scribfire?
I want to transfer all my saved notes to another computer, but can’t find where are stored in my HDD…
Any ideas?

Everybody finds ScribeFire useful, but HOW DO YOU THIS GREAT TOOL??
I don’t understand.
Thanks.

I really like Scribefire… if you’re taking feature requests, add the ability to schedule future posts (I’m using Wordpress, but I’m sure other platform users would like it too).
July 6th, 2007 at 9:23 pm
Well, sorry for the double… I just installed the latest version and it still says 1.3.5 in the About window. Perhaps just an oversight?
July 8th, 2007 at 7:46 pm
I really like Scribefire, however I have had problems since the switch to the new name.
It no longer integrates the Firefox add-on Signature that I used to insert scrips that I used frequently. The old versions of Performance integrated very well with it, but since this switch to Scribefire it doesn’t. Does anyone have any suggestions.

Ok, I feel stupid. I wish there was a quick instruction page for ScribeFire — like how to get it started. I wasted some time looking for how to start the thing. If I wrote the page, this is what it would look like:
0) Enable the status bar if you haven’t (View > Status Bar.)
1) Look for the orange pad and pencil icon in the lower right corner of the Firefox browser, on the far right side of the status bar.
2) Click on the icon.
3) There is no step 3.
That would be much more clear and obvious for idiots like me.

@3, 7
ScribeFire works great with Serendipity. Before used it, install “post via XML-RPC” event plugin in the Serendipity.
